Summer of 2017 was such an adventure, definitely not what you'd call ordinary. When I heard about VIA Rail's Canada 150 Youth Pass to access unlimited travel across Canada for the month of July, I jumped at the opportunity. I spent the more than 8 hours trying to load the damn webpage to get a ticket. 

Canada is often overlooked in favour of destinations faraway and much warmer, even for Canadians. The high cost of national travel deters many. There are more I could list, but I was eager to not let those hurdles overcome us on this adventure. There was so much to cram into a one-month long trip. With a goal in mind, packed our oversized bags *, we set out to see Canada by train. We travelled through: 

8 provinces

5 time zones

11 cities

Over 15,300km of railroad,

in just about 33 days.

*mostly full of food
